South Sudan Study Hub – Code of Conduct

The South Sudan Study Hub is a learning community built to support students, educators, researchers, and the public.
To create a safe, respectful, and productive environment, all users must follow this Code of Conduct.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to abide by the standards outlined below.


1. Our Values

We commit to:

These values guide how we expect users to behave while interacting with the Platform and with each other.


2. Respectful Behaviour

All users must:

2.1 Treat Others With Respect

  • Use polite, inclusive, and constructive language

  • Consider the feelings and perspectives of others

  • Engage in discussions without harassment or hostility

2.2 Protect Cultural and Community Integrity

South Sudan is diverse. Respect all:

  • Ethnic groups

  • Languages

  • Cultures

  • Religious beliefs

  • Memories, histories, and identities

2.3 No Harassment or Discrimination

The following behaviours are prohibited:

  • Bullying or insults

  • Hate speech

  • Ethnic or tribal slurs

  • Gender-based harassment

  • Threats or intimidation

  • Any form of discrimination


3. Responsible Use of the Platform

3.1 Educational Purpose Only

Users must use the Platform for:

  • Study

  • Teaching

  • Research

  • Personal learning

  • Cultural knowledge-sharing

Misuse of resources for harmful, deceptive, or illegal purposes is strictly prohibited.

3.2 No Academic Misconduct

Do not use the Platform to:

  • Cheat

  • Plagiarize

  • Share exam answer keys that violate school policy

  • Misrepresent your work

3.3 Accuracy and Honesty

Users must:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Correct mistakes if discovered

  • Avoid spreading misinformation


4. Content Standards

4.1 Appropriate Content Only

Uploads and comments must not include:

  • Violence

  • Explicit or sexual content

  • Graphic images

  • Harmful stereotypes

  • Propaganda

  • Defamation

4.2 Respect Copyrights

Users must comply with our Copyright Policy and upload only:

  • Original content

  • Public domain content

  • Content with permission

  • Open-licensed materials

4.3 Protect Privacy

Do not upload:

  • Student records

  • Personal addresses or contacts

  • Private school incidents

  • Confidential institutional documents


5. Safe Community Interaction

5.1 No Abuse or Harm

Users may not:

  • Stalk or target individuals

  • Share offensive or hostile messages

  • Post harmful or unsafe advice

5.2 No Impersonation

You may not pretend to be:

  • Another person

  • A teacher or official

  • An institution

5.3 No Exploitation

Users may not exploit:

  • Children

  • Vulnerable groups

  • Cultural materials without context or permission


6. Digital Etiquette

6.1 Be Clear and Constructive

When commenting or giving feedback:

  • Stay on-topic

  • Be helpful, not critical or dismissive

  • Use language appropriate for all ages

6.2 Use AI Tools Responsibly

AI features are for learning support.
Do NOT use AI to:

  • Generate harmful content

  • Attack others

  • Fabricate documents

  • Produce misinformation

6.3 Protect Your Account

  • Use a strong password

  • Do not share account access

  • Report suspicious activity


7. Prohibited Behaviours

Users may not:

  • Hack or disrupt the Platform

  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious files

  • Scrape content without permission

  • Bypass download limits or security systems

  • Create multiple accounts for abuse purposes

  • Host political campaigning or incitement


8. Reporting Violations

If you observe violations, harmful behaviour, or inappropriate content, report it immediately: info@southsudanstudyhub.com

We review all valid reports and may take action when necessary.


9. Consequences for Misconduct

We may take action including:

  • Warning notices

  • Removal of content

  • Editing of metadata

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent account termination

  • Reporting severe cases to relevant authorities

Actions depend on the seriousness and frequency of violations.


10. Dispute Resolution

If you believe moderation was unfair:

  • You may submit an appeal via email

  • Provide details, context, and any supporting evidence

  • A separate review may be conducted

Our goal is fairness and community wellbeing.


11. Updates to This Code of Conduct

We may revise this Code at any time.
The “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest version.
